MN Nutra California Proposition 65 Notice

This California Proposition 65 Notice is provided by MN Nutra LLC ("MN Nutra," "we," "us," or "our") to inform our customers in California about the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, commonly known as Proposition 65.

1. What is Proposition 65?

Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. These chemicals can be in the products that Californians purchase, in their homes or workplaces, or that are released into the environment. By requiring that this information be provided, Proposition 65 enables Californians to make informed decisions about their exposures to these chemicals.

Proposition 65 also prohibits California businesses from knowingly discharging significant amounts of listed chemicals into sources of drinking water.

Proposition 65 requires California to publish a list of chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. This list, which must be updated at least once a year, has grown to include approximately 900 chemicals since it was first published in 1987.

2. Why is MN Nutra providing this warning?

We provide this warning to comply with California law and to ensure our customers are fully informed. A Proposition 65 warning does not necessarily mean a product is in violation of any product-safety standards or requirements. In fact, the California government has clarified that "the fact that a product bears a Proposition 65 warning does not mean by itself that the product is unsafe."

Many of the chemicals on the Proposition 65 list are naturally occurring in the environment or are common byproducts of manufacturing processes. For example, lead and cadmium are naturally found in soil and water, and therefore can be present in trace amounts in agricultural ingredients used in dietary supplements.
